LTC Lester Yong
LTC Lester Yong assumed Head IFC since 28th Sep 2020. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Security Studies and received the International Student Award for Excellence in Regional Or Security Studies. He held various operational tours and staff appointments such as Staff Officer Int Plans and Development Branch, and Head Defence Relations Branch in the Naval Intelligence Department. He was conferred the SAF Tsunami Relief Operation 2004 Medal, SAF Overseas Service Medal, Iraq 2006, and Bar to the SAF Overseas Service Medal, Gulf of Aden 2013. He was also conferred the SAF Good Service (5 Years), and SAF Long Service and Good Conduct Medals (10 and 15 Years)

LTC Daniel Ng
LTC Daniel Ng assumed Deputy Head IFC since 3rd Jan 2019. He graduated with a Master of Science in Technology Management and was the first cohort of Singapore military officers to receive a Graduate Diploma in Military Leadership. His past appointments include Deputy Squadron Commanding Officer and Executive Officer/Chief Instructor Naval Officers’ Advanced School. In 2018, he participated as an Operations Officer in the CTF 151, a counter-piracy Task Force of the Combined Maritime Forces in the GOA. He was awarded the SAF Long Service and Good Conduct (20 years) Medal, SAF Overseas Service Medal and National Day Award - Long Service Medal (Military).

MAJ Surendran
MAJ Surendran (Suren) joined the SAF in 2004 and currently serves as the Head of Exercises and Engagement at the IFC. Upon commissioning, he pursued Computer Engineering at the University of Western Australia, under the SAF Local Study Award. He was awarded and received the College Medal for Excellence for a written thesis on software productivity. He also served various operational tours in 182, 185 and 121 Squadron. He was conferred the SAF Good Service (5 Years), SAF Long Service and Good Conduct Medals (10 and 15 years).

MAJ Joseph Lee
MAJ Joseph Lee assumed Head Operations of IFC on 25th July 2022. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Communications. He served in various shipboard and staff appointments such as Navigating Officer on board the Victory-class Missile Corvettes, Principal Warfare Officer onboard the Formidable-class Frigates, Staff Officer Ops Development in Fleet HQ and Staff Officer Communications Strategy in Navy Information Centre, Naval Operations Department. MAJ Lee was conferred the SAF Good Service (5 Years) and SAF Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (10 Years).

Ms Joan Chung
Ms Joan Chung, Assistant Director Shipping Engagement oversees the planning, development and implementation of outreach and engagement activities with the shipping community. She has been with the IFC since 2014 and has grown and strengthened IFC linkages with regional and international shipping companies. She has led many initiatives resulting in closer collaboration between IFC and the shipping community to strengthen info-sharing processes. Prior to her job in IFC, Ms Joan has worked in the shipping industry for 12 years.

Mr Tan Kian Hao
Mr Tan Kian Hao joined the IFC as the Maritime Liaison Officer in 2020 to implement and plan IFC shipping engagement activities. Prior to joining IFC, his position as product manager in a maritime software company has allowed him to be involved with major digital transformation projects with many of the world's leading shipping lines. With increasing focus on maritime security in the industry, he chose to seek more meaning in his career by embarking on this role with the IFC to contribute to MARSEC efforts in the region.
