Lieutenant Colonel Greg Nette joined the Canadian Army in 1990 as an armoured officer. Over a 32-year career to date, he has been employed within his regiment at troop, squadron, and regimental level, most recently as the Deputy Commanding Officer (2009-2011). He was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina as a reconnaissance troop leader in 1994 and to Kandahar, Afghanistan as the Canadian Camp Commandant in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Royal Roads Military College (1994), a Master of Arts degree in Leadership Studies from Marshall University (2012), LTC Nette was selected for the Canadian Defence Attaché program in 2017 and after four years in Kyiv, Ukraine, is currently the Deputy Canadian Defence Advisor to Singapore with cross-accreditation to the IFC and the Regional Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Coordination Centre as a liaison officer.
