Lieutenant Commander Christian Hegering joined the German Navy in 1998. He holds a degree in engineering. LCDR Hegering served in two German Naval Airwings in his earlier years. He did four tours of duty in Afghanistan, and three tours under EUNAVFOR MED, as well as overseas international exercises and trainings. LCDR Christian Hegering also was appointed Coy commander at the German Petty Officer School, as well as at the reconnaissance company of German Sea Battalion. He was HUMINT Teamleader and Senior Analyst since 2012, before assuming the appointment of first German Liaison Officer at the IFC in early 2020. LCDR Christian Hegering is happily married to Akpedjé and have one daughter, Eleonora.
