Lieutenant Commander Arnold San Joaquin joined the Philippine Navy after graduating from the Philippine Military Academy in 2006.  Upon being commissioned with a rank of Ensign, he spent the early years of his career serving aboard 3 different ships as Operation Officer.  He then held various staff and command positions in different units of the PN, highlights of which includes commanding Naval Intelligence and Security Group – West in Western Command AOR.  He specializes in intelligence, training, personnel administration and cyber warfare.  He attended several local and overseas courses such as Overseas Joint Warfare Course in Australia and Naval Command and Staff Course as well as participated in different multilateral activities such as SEACAT.  Before being assigned in IFC, he serves as a Branch Chief at the Naval Intelligence Division of Headquarters Philippine Navy.
