In 1999, Commander C.G. Casandra Silva Gurrionero enrolled in the Peruvian Naval School and has shown to be qualified in Captaincy and Coast Guard with over 25 years of service in the Peruvian Navy working on board for Naval Units and Coast Guard Maritime Patrol Boats. After finishing a Bachelor's Degree in Naval Maritime Sciences from the Peruvian Naval School and a Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of the Pacific in Lima, some of her achievements include her participation in the Joint Operation of the Armed Forces ‘ALLIANCE' and the National Police against Illicit Drug Trafficking where she was awarded the Commendation of the General Command of the Navy on the grounds ‘For the fight against terrorism and / or drug trafficking or for distinguished action in the internal and / or external front’. As of 1 January 2025, Casandra was appointed Deputy Naval Attaché for the Embassy of Peru to the Commonwealth of Australia, concurrent in New Zealand and the Republic of Singapore, and as Liaison Officer at the Republic of Singapore's Navy Information Fusion Centre.
