The IFC team, comprising both RSN personnel and our ILOs, hosted a global delegation from SHELL to a visit on 11 May.
During the engagement, the IFC shared best practices and technologies that enhance effective information sharing and maritime domain awareness, including the importance of our Voluntary Community Reporting (VCR) initiative. We also explained how we leveraged our global network of MARSEC and shipping linkages to extend our operational reach beyond our immediate area of operations to support our shipping partners anywhere in the world during incidents at sea.
In addition, the IFC showcased our key engagement initiatives with the shipping community. Activities like ship visits and ship-to-shore security drills serve to strengthen trust and mutual understanding, and also tighten operational processes, which can prove to be vital during emergencies.
The visit reaffirmed SHELL's strong commitment to regional cooperation and information sharing in partnership with the IFC.
