The IFC hosted Joint Force Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, COL PG Noor Rumaizi bin Pg Othman, for a visit on 12 Aug 2026.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the IFC's role in facilitating information sharing with our partners. 'COL PG Noor Rumaizi also acknowledged the importance of regional collaboration, especially in the current security environment, where strong partnerships and timely information sharing are increasingly important.
The visit also reaffirmed Brunei's commitment to enhancing maritime security with its partners, underscored by Brunei's deployment of International Liaison Officers (ILOs) to IFC since 2013. These strong linkages enable our respective maritime enforcement agencies to share information and respond in a timely manner to maritime security incidents. IFC looks forward to continuing to strengthen our partnerships and collective efforts towards a safer and more secure maritime domain. Together, we can keep our Seas Safe and Secure for All!
