IFC Welcomes Ocean Network Express (ONE) Marine Safety & Quality Team

The IFC Shipping Engagement (SE) Branch and our Japan ILO were pleased to host senior representatives from the Ocean Network Express (ONE) Marine Safety & Quality Department at the IFC on 29 Jun 26.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration and align the IFC's regional maritime security efforts - with the operational priorities of one of the world's leading container shipping lines.

Robust maritime security and maritime domain awareness rely on close integration between shore- based monitoring centres and commercial vessels at sea. By engaging directly with industry partners such as ONE, the IFC continues to strengthen the link between regional security initiatives and the operational realities of global shipping.

The engagement was joined by the IFC's Japan ILO, highlighting the importance of multinational cooperation and public-private information sharing in safeguarding critical sea lines of communication.

During the visit, the ONE delegation toured the IFC watchfloor, gained insight into the information fusion processes, received updates on the regional maritime security landscape, and exchanged perspectives on how timely information sharing and proactive incident reporting can further enhance the safety and resilience of commercial Shipping

Such engagements strengthen partnerships between industry and regional security stakeholders, reinforcing our collective ability to address evolving maritime security challenges. We thank the ONE Marine Safety & Quality team for their visit and continued partnership in advancing maritime safety and security. Together, we achieve Safe and Secure Seas for All.
