The IFC recently visited Goodwood Ship Management and participated in their security drill. The IFC and Goodwood have enjoyed a positive relationship, regularly collaborating on various initiatives, including security drills and the Shared Awareness Meetings.
During the ship drill, there were active exchanges between the IFC, Goodwood, and their vessel "DHT Leopard" as they simulated drone attack and suspicious approach in the Indian Ocean. The exercise proved highly effective in enhancing info sharing processes and operational readiness of the ship's crew and the emergency response team. Additionally, with drones emerging as a MARSEC threat, there was fruitful discussion on the best practices to enhance awareness.
The IFC expresses its gratitude to Capt. Muneesh Saxena, Marine Manager, and his team for inviting the IFC to participate in the drill. The IFC looks forward to further collaboration with Goodwood in the future to enhance ship security in the region.
