The IFC participated in a ship security drill with Goodwood Ship Management to familiarise info-sharing processes and enhance operational readiness. During the drill, both the ILOs from India and the Republic of Korea provided useful contextual information and recommendations to Goodwood'ssecurity team, enhancing their understanding of the MARSEC situation in respective AOs.
The exercise scenario simulated a drone attack and suspicious approach in the Arabian Sea. With drone attacks emerging as a growing MARSEC threat, the drill was useful in facilitating discussions on best practices to enhance awareness and preparedness in this area.
The IFC extends its gratitude to Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, Capt. Muneesh Saxena and their team for inviting the IFC to participate in the drill. We look forward to the continued collaboration with Goodwood to strengthen overall MARSEC in the region.
Together we can keep our seas Safe and Secure for All!
