The IFC hosted RADM Dirk Gärtner, Director Plans and Policy of the German Navy, on 25 Jun 2026.
During the visit, the IFC presented on the overview of the regional maritime security landscape, including emerging challenges and insights into the modus operandi of perpetrators involved in maritime incidents. Both sides also reaffirmed the importance of ILO deployments as a key mechanism for info-sharing, fostering mutual understanding, strengthening trust, and enhance operational cooperation. The German Navy reaffirmed its support to continue deploying officers to the Centre, reflecting Germany's commitment towards regional engagements and cooperation in maritime security.
