The IFC participated in the Foundation for Humanitarian Action at Sea (FHAS) Geneva Dialogue 2026 from 15 to 16 September 2026 in Geneva. An independent Geneva-based non-profit started in 2024 to prevent sea casualties, FHAS gathered over 30 SAR and shipping experts to exchange insights, and chart the way ahead for SAR-related efforts at sea. True to the platform's closed-door, Chatham House rule format, discussions were candid and cross-sectoral -bringing together actors who don't otherwise share a Common table.
Geneva Dialogue 2026 successfully built mutual understanding and identified practical areas for cooperation to support those in distress at sea, and the IFC was glad to contribute to this fruitful exchange and remains committed to advancing information sharing across the maritime community. Together, we can achieve Safe and Secure Seas For All!
